BIO — Chuanjia/Kathy Nie

My name is Kathy, I’m a strategic designer with a passion for creative marketing and brand strategy. I craft strategies grounded in market research, statistics, and analysis. Critical thinking guides my approach to mapping trends, defining competitors, and studying brands. I seek collaborative opportunities in fashion and entertainment, and I'm driven to help businesses develop distinct, impactful identities through thoughtful design and effective marketing.

My interest and focus on my career path lies on marketing, more specifically describing it as brand strategy. I major in strategic design and management and after four years of studying at Parsons, I’m now building my skills on social media-based marketing strategies. My learning outcomes may help a company or a brand establish more solidified brand identity in order to further build on their marketing strategies.\Educational Background

I have been an international student since the second year of middle school. My educational background travels through different countries: elementary school and middle school back in China; Two years of high school in BC, Canada; and now eventually graduating from Parsons School of Design with my bachelor’s degree.

Motivation

I have always believed that design and innovation are key drivers of the future, and they are endeavors well worth striving for. As a critical thinker, I’m passionate about analyzing, refining, and iterating in the process of designing strategies. It is truly a fascinating job to create for the demand, being able to see demographics of different generations, and see how history develops, how trends shift and how time passes by through the features of market.

Key Skills

I am most familiar with common business models, prompts for analysis and great at using digital tools for mapping and brainstorming.
